The Day of the Devil’s Awakening
The episode starts off with C.C summarising the events of last season and the goes on to talk about how the Black Knights lost the final battle and how Zero was executed.
There is then a scene of a Blimp being granted permission to fly across the skies of the settlement. This blimp holds the remaining members of the Order along with C.C. We see the flag of Japan along side the newly made flag of the Order.
Lelouch seems to be back to normal. Villetta is now a PE teacher who targets Lelouch a lot for missing his classes. The scene starts of as a chase probably to re-introduce the Ashford crew. Lelouch eventually escapes with Rivalz’s motorbike and Rolo as the driver.

On the way to the Babel Tower, we are introduced to Rolo, Lelouch’s younger brother. Interesting character, seems to be soft and caring. Weird thing is, he was never in Season 1 even though the story revolves around Lelouch and his family. Mysterious…
After seeing a live broadcast of Eleven’s being executed; Lelouch talks about how the Black Knights lost and Zero’s execution and how all of it was a waste, ‘the world can never the changed’. This is clearly ironic since he is Zero.
Diethard Ried and Lakshata Chawla are reported ‘Wanted’ meaning there’s a good chance they’ll rejoin the Order. Zero is obviously not dead and is the news of his execution is probably being used to calm the Britainnians down.
We see a group of people from Britainnia tracking Lelouch.
Kallen. dressed in a bunny suit, purposefully bumps into Lelouch and attempts to give him a small chip. She is interrupted by someone from the Mafia who is apparently one of the best at chess being nicknamed ‘The Black King’. Lelouch challenges and wins only to be attacked by the mafia.
While this is happening, we see the arrested members of the Order in prison talking about Zero, his ‘betrayal’ and so-called death.
The blimp housing the remnants of the Order then attack the building while Kallen wipes out the mafia. The people tracking Lelouch are alerted and prepare for battle.
We then switch to the meeting of the Chinese Federation. Gaohai (center) talks to Carares (right) about Zero’s death. Security guards attempt to take Xingke’s (left) Sword only to be attack by him. They then see the attack at Babel Tower.
While I attack continues, Kallen loses track of Lelouch while Rolo flees with him. Lelouch is then attacked and falls down a hole. Attempting to save his younger brother, Lelouch attempts to go back up only to lay eyes on the corpses of dead Brittanians and Elevens.
Among the corpses, he sees a Knightmare piloted by C.C who attempts to remind Lelouch of his past.
As Lelouch approaches her, she is shot in the chest by the group tracking Lelouch. It turns out they’re the Intelligence Agency as mentioned before by Carares and they were using Lelouch as bait to capture C.C.
The Baron then points the gun at Lelouch, terrified, Lelouch wishes for power to do something similar to Episode 1 of the first season. C.C wakes up and kisses him; activating his lost memories.
Lelouch, now with his geass, uses it to kill off the Agency. Again, another similar scene from the first ever episode.
To end the scene, Kallen and Kousetsu appear in their Knightmares asking for orders by Zero. A great way to end the main scene.
To wrap things up, we see Suzaku for the first time, now part of the Knight of the Rounds. He talks about how he will be the one to kill Zero (as if!). I hate that bastard and that look on his face. >=/
